Company History
For the past 60 years, Raypak has been the world's leading manufacturer of copper
finned boilers and heaters. From a modest beginning in 1947 in founder Al Whittel's
garage in Southern California, Raypak now supplies equipment all over the world from its
manufacturing facilities in Oxnard, California and Toronto, Canada, and its licensee in
England.
Raypak's first manufacturing facility was located in El Monte, California. As a result of the
growth generated by the market acceptance of the copper fin design, the factory was
moved to Westlake Village, California, in 1970. After two major expansions over the next
thirty years, Raypak outgrew the 151,000 square foot Westlake plant. In 2000 Raypak's
primary manufacturing facility was relocated to a completely new 235,000 square foot
building in Oxnard, California, its current headquarters. Raypak expects that the market
acceptance of new product designs will accelerate the growth rate that the company has
experienced during the last ten years. The state-of- the-art Oxnard facility prepares the
company to meet these growth demands.
Raypak's design goals are and have always been high quality, reliability and energy
efficiency. Adhering to these basics is the reason the reputation of the company is held
in such high regard by design build consultants, specifying engineers, distributors,
contractors and homeowners, In 1996, Raypak was registered to ISO 9001, becoming the
first boiler manufacturer to achieve the highest registration level attainable.

Modulating Vertical Boilers
& Water Heaters
Raypak has taken the design technology for modulating boilers to the next level
with the all new MVB. By precisely matching the latest control and combustion
components, the optimum fuel air ratio is maintained throughout the entire range
of load-tracking operation, even with low and fluctuating gas pressures. A 4:1
turndown capability (503-2003) ensures the exact input to match the heating
demand and maximizes efficiency at all firing rates. With all copper and optional
bronze waterways, these boilers provide the ultimate in corrosion resistance.
Hi Delta®
Sealed Combustion Boilers
& Water Heaters
Decades of expertise and technological innovations went into
creating the Hi Delta boiler, a product which incorporates features
sought after by engineers, installers and end-users alike. The
patented burner “security blanket,” an ingenious enhancement that
provides a perfected air-gas pathway for complete combustion,
makes the Hi Delta the most adaptable sealed-combustion boiler on
the market today. Adding to the Hi Delta’s ease of use is the
Universal Diagnostic Board (UDB). This key enhancement allows a
local technician to quickly review the unit’s entire fault history and
make any necessary repairs or adjustments.
Every Hi Delta is factory-fire tested, assuring reliable start-up upon
installation. When installed indoors, the Hi Delta’s versatility is
revealed in smaller vent diameters, direct-venting and the
convenience of stacking without an increased footprint.
Raytherm®
Atmospheric Boilers
& Water Heaters
Design simplicity, quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship
have earned Raypak a rock-solid reputation for reliability. While
others busily design cost out of their products, Raypak has
continued to engineer dependability in. Features like thermal
shock-proofed heat exchanger with floating return headers are
standard. Burners are made from a high quality stainless steel alloy
that won't corrode or warp. All metal surfaces are rust protected.
Every detail is designed to extend product life. Every detail
improves dependability. Because every detail matters.
